Elderberries & Honeysuckles

Brian, Nicole and Barry. We had a very nice day hiking and berry picking.

There were lots of elderberries to be had. I probably ate more, while picking, than I saved.

Brian and Nicole, picking berries.

I'm not quite sure why Barry looks so surprised, but this is definitely a Kodak moment.

These guys are crazy, picking berries off the ground. I guess since these are going to be made into jam it is ok.

For several weeks, honeysuckles have been in full bloom at Shelby Park. Ive been walking there quite a bit after work and on the weekends. You can smell the wonderful scent that the honeysuckle blossoms give off from anywhere on the trail. The flowers also taste good. I think they would be a good addition to almost any salad.
