Sean, Doug & Carey. I have to say it was great being with my two Sufi brothers.
This has been an amazing weekend. I took both Thursday and Friday off and got lots of work done Thursday. Half of the day was spent with Barry doing some much needed shopping for household items. Thursday night, my buddy Doug arrived from Connecticut. I have not seen him since our trip to Vietnam and the Philippines earlier this year. We went to Cafe Coco for a late dinner. Irene, who I haven't hung out with since the Canoe trip down the Harpeth, spent some time with us.
I had several things planned out for Doug's visit so Friday was nonstop - walking at Shelby Park with Barry, breakfast at Bongo Java East Nashville, a visit to Opry Mills and the Opryland Hotel, working out, swimming, and laying out in the sun, meal at Athens (yum!), beer tasting at Yazoo Brew's Tap Room with Jessica, hang out at The Alley Cat in East Nashville with a group of friends, and this was capped with the traditional impromptu pool party at Carey's. Needless to say, I was happy, drunk and tired at the end of the night.
